“For the study, scientists at the Scripps Research Institute in San Diego got a bunch of rats hooked on alcohol and cocaine, which made them anxious and impulsive, and then injected some of them with CBD. They found that the rats with CBD in their systems were less likely to relapse into alcohol or drug use over time, even when the scientists tempted them with it. Even when forced to deal with stressful surroundings, the CBD rats were less likely to seek out drugs.”

  1. I smoke weed to help myself calm down….as I am manic at times and need to calm down at times….alcohol also helps, but caffeine makes my mental health issues worst

  2. We don't need to subject rats to this barbaric treatment. Let's perform the experiments on the great many coke-heads in America.

  3. You're wrong Anna. Jeff Sessions is corrupted and racist. He proved it time and time again. He isn't ignorant.

  4. This is the one topic I am at completely at odds with TYT on. All drugs are bad!! There are no exceptions. This is not a message TYT should be continually sending out to an entire generation of young people, many of whom may well have addictive personalities. Continually advocating a message that will result in people getting addicted to cannabis is quite frankly disgusting.

  5. So Mike wants drug researchers to test new drugs on people right off the bat. That's basically human experimentation right there.

  6. this book is a must read ( chasing the scream the first and last days of the war on drugs )

  7. Yep. Canabis can be a gateway off harder drugs and a gateway off alcohol. Best way to convince others is just to stick to the numbers and talk about saving money. More studies please.

Nixon first changed marijuana to a Schedule 1 so he could jail the political opposition (hippies and blacks). It was a tactic like gerrymandering, to sway the voting numbers in their favor.
